How does one sleep after seeing so much death and knowing there's much more to come? Do they dream of finally being released from this world, or are the dreams in which they die the least terrifying of all their nightmares?

The following is by
In the precious moments of rest between the battlefields of war, the companions focus themselves for the coming storm. They have faced death and loss many times, but as always the waiting is the worst.

Lovely Bitter ready to kill someone's dick.

Far less action than the first three but I think it sends a clearer message about what I'm going for in this series.

This series is supposed to have a particular sci fi theme with universes that wouldn't canonically(is that even a word?) conflict with each other too much(example: Warhammer 40k people would not play nice with anyone here and therefore can't be allowed). That means no Solid Snake, Ezio, Link, Mario, Kratos, Nathan Drake, Cole MacGrath, no Bioshock, Ryu(the Street Fighter dude), Duke Nukem, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, Fallout, Portal and anything else not similar enough to the universes the featured characters are from.
