Always Want to Play But You Never Want to Lose by lonefirewarrior Always Want to Play But You Never Want to Lose by lonefirewarrior
Another planet, another fallen city. Will they have what it takes to turn the tide or are they continuing to only postpone the inevitable doom?

The following is by :iconkushlukvonshimazu:
The warriors rally for extraction on the outskirts of the doomed city, just in time to see the falling curtain of death and woe close on this once shining beacon of humanity. The groans of the Reapers in the distance sing a tale of despair and death to come, sending a cold shiver down the spines of the survivors. For the companions, this is a day of infamy, one that will haunt them for the rest of their lives. As their evac comes screaming out of the ash filled sky, each one takes something different from the past few hours.

Prepare for unforseen consequences.

Editing explosions sucks. Editing laser beams sucks too. I think I got the explosion to look somewhat decent, but the Reaper energy beam still looks lame. Also, I've decided to add more characters from the same universes as the guys here since I'm running out of available characters from other fictional universes(characters available in GMod that is). So expect things like a certain four-jawed individual, a certain fan of calibrations, possibly a certain clone squad leader, etc.

Also the lens flare from the Reaper beam came from this image by :icontyranno1:. I hate the default lens flares in Photoshop and I liked the JJ Abrams/Michael Bay look to his. [link]

I have EVE models, but I really don't know anything about EVE and don't want to start throwing ships around without knowing who goes to what.

Try doing an aerial scene, and if you've got one of the Titans, have it doing a Doomsday laser on a Reaper? If you've got a set of models for the DUST 514 merc suits, maybe even do scene of them taking down husks, or even add in the flood or Zerg.
If it came down to which universe fight would win, the New Eden 'verse would win every time, having had 20,000 years to advance in peace, and fighting amongst each other. Simply the truth of Sci-fi.

20,000 years is fairly short and unimpressive in comparison to most sci fi universes.

Maybe, but it's always evolving, unlike the Reapers. They simply have fairly tough hulls and high-profile lasers. When compared to the Star Trek verse, the EVE verse outnumbers them. When compared to the StarWars verse, they out-tech the Empire and anybody else, even the Yuuzhan'Vong. When compared to the Halo Verse, EVE outnumbers and out-techs the covenant and even most of the Forerunner tech. When pitted against the StarCraft verse, they outnumber, outskill and outtech. Pitted against the Warhammer 40,000 verse, outskilled, teched and numbered again.
I've done a lot of profiling for the overall battles between them all, and even putting them together. When you put the books, the games and all forms together, the books give skill and specialties, and the games give a feel for them at a medium for all, and with some assistance from other nerds, geeks and in-between, it was found that EVE outdid all others in some way form or fashion, what with over 500+ systems, trillions upon trillions of people, immortals, the Broker, personal skills, Alliances, ship sizes, ship powers, modules and everything in-between was evaluated.
Hell, in one of the books, a cyborg took on an immortal, killed him once, and blew up the guy's speeder as he came around the corner, nearly killing him a second time. Not sure even the Mandalorian mercs of StarWars would be able to compare to that skill. Even if they used the star-crusher cruiser to destroy whole systems, they would be able to knock it out with special interdictor cruisers and frigates.
Theorized nearly anything and everything that could happen, even the Jedi. StarKiller was GOOD, skilled in so many ways that was brilliant, and even pulling down and destroying a StarDestroyer, and it's fighter compliments was awesome, but could only pay attention to so much... A few immortals + air support = dead/neutralized StarKiller.

Black and white comparisons don't work. Try again.

'black and white'? No no no, we went into considerable debate and discussion online and well... I came back and mouthed it off, and now few people care to know about it, haha.

Because black and white comparisons are wrong.
